Marythe Sierra
1942 - 2021
Marythe, was born on March 8, 1942. She was a smart, vibrant, giving, tender loving caring compassionate, joyful, genuine and loving mother and woman.
At the age of twenty-two, she relocated to the United States where she started a family with her husband and father of her two daughters. Adapting quickly to the new land she came to love, and where she began a positive life-long involvement with the States of New York and Florida.
She contributed time and financial resources to local Latin American and European organizations like the Red Cross, St. Mary’s School, and the Churches of St. Mathews and St. Agnes.
She chaired fundraising activities at schools such as the St. Sebastian and St. Mary’s Schools in New York, She also devoted time to few non-profit organizations including the National Hispanic Business Group in the State of New York.
During 2020, she started having some short-term memory loss, neck pain, shortness of breath coupled with noticeable fatigue and lack of appetite.
On April 13, 2021 she went to the hospital for an MRI , two (2) days later she was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma multiforme that had a mass exceeding 4.5mm that was in her right occipital area. The neurosurgeon gave her a life expectancy of five (5) months and scheduled her for immediate brain surgery. She passed on April 30, 2021. She was stoic and strong and endured this trial with grace and dignity.

Marythe left a huge impact on the world, and any recognition and remembrance of her is very comforting for her family.
We miss her more than words can express and more than we could've imagined.
